Description
The Water/Wastewater Sr. Engineer will support a large wastewater infrastructure repair/rehabilitation program in various planning efforts, including preparation of a citywide wastewater master plan, updating/maintaining a dynamic wastewater model, development and maintenance of sewer capacity reservation processes, development of sewer system asset management plan, and other plans as identified.
This position will work with existing water resources and water/wastewater treatment staff to support our existing and future work primarily in the water resource market. Project work will include major pipelines, water booster pump stations, and lift stations. Projects could also include conducting planning, pre-design, and design activities in the following areas: pressurized conveyance systems, sewer systems, general site civil engineering, stormwater quality, drainage/flood control, and water resources/supply planning.
The PM manages small to large size projects. The PM is the leader/manager of project teams and is supported by technical task leaders as needed. Specific responsibilities include leadership in the application of Our Project Delivery System to achieve the following project delivery strategic objectives: health, safety, environmental responsibility; client expectations for quality, schedule, and budget; financial performance for project specific targets; project team expectations; operational performance and business unit expectations; and quality. Specific duties include planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, safety, and coordination of subcontractors and internal technical and support staff.
The PM is a participant in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling, and performance. Additionally, the PM is responsible for the identification of schedule and cost variances and the development and implementation of recommendations for corrective action for negative variances. The PM also has a responsibility to help grow the PM resources of the firm through coaching of Associate PMs and task managers.

Basic Qualifications 12 years experience, B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering, and a Professional Engineer License.
Significant experience in wastewater collection system planning.

Preferred Qualifications 12 years applicable experience is preferred. B.S. is required and an M.S. is a plus. Exposure to large water/wastewater conveyance projects.
