STRUCTURAL ENGINEER – Dallas

The primary duties of the Structural Engineer include the review of structural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines. Writes/edits structural specifications, selects procedures, materials and their respective sizes, and completes necessary calculations. Independently coordinates the work of the structural design team through the design development and contract document phases of a project. Establishes meetings and participates in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. Conducts design development and contract document work sessions at project site in conjunction with Project Manager and other disciplines. Is responsible to coordinate workload through design development and construction document phases to complete the documents on schedule. Coordinates and assists, with affected disciplines, with any addendum, requests for information, change proposal requests and change orders and is responsible to incorporate agreed upon changes into the project documents. Responsible for making field design changes, addressing RFI's and reviewing shop drawings. Coordinates As-Builts, redesigns, and revisions.

Requirements
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
5+ years structural engineering experience.
Computer knowledge Microsoft Office, (AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar analytical software).
Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
