Sr. Physical Therapist - . – Dallas

The Physical Therapist: *evaluates and treats patients mobility and motor assets and liabilities for functional performance. *provides goal directed, activity oriented treatment to promote optimum independence in self-care, functional mobility and daily life tasks *ensures continuation of performance through effective education of the patient, family or support system. *provides adaptive methods and equipment as appropriate to enhance performance *Assists the Director of Clinical Services in the supervision of therapy and support staff *Plays a key role in program development and the provision of continuing education. License or Certification: Licensed or Licensure eligible in Texas. Current CPR Certification. Total Education, Vocational Training and Experience: Graduated in Physical Therapy from an APTA accredited college or university preferred. 5 years of Rehab Physical Therapy experience preferred. Skills and Abilities: *Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients and families *protect confidentiality in all areas as applicable *knowledge of legal and ethical considerations in Physical Therapy practice *ability to keep accurate records and write meaningful reports *ability to execute therapeutic procedures and manipulate special equipment accurately and safely Proficiency/Productivity Standards: Organize and Prioritize tasks and projects AND accurately complete job responsibilities within the specified time constraints to meet the needs of patients, regulatory standards and customer satisfaction Machines and Equipment used: Clinical equipment used for patient care and other equipment as necessary Physical Resources: Ability to lift/transfer patients in excess of 25 pounds, which may require pushing, pulling and essentially utilizing a full range of body movement AND the ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch or crawl.
