Sales Engineer – Dallas

A leader in the field of Metallography and Material Analysis, is seeking a Sales Engineer to cover a territory that includes West Texas and New Mexico.

In this role, candidate will grow territory based on company/regional projections while calling on key accounts in industries that include: auto, steel, aerospace, defense contractors, metal fabricators and heat-treaters. Must be able to demonstrate equipment & software products, and be proficient with public speaking. Candidates can expect to travel territory approx. 25-30% overnight required.

Requirements:

Qualified candidates must possess the following:

Degree in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering or 2-5 years sales experience equivalent in the market
Accustomed to developing a sales territory and cold-calling on customers when required
Familiar with laboratory environments and how to sell within this environment
Must be self-managed and self-motivated
Possess a history with instrumentation and well developed computer skills
Accustomed to demonstrating equipment and overcoming objections
Proven territory development into the instrumentation market is preferred
Candidates who currently live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area are a major plus
