Position: RF Test Engineer

Position Description:
The RF Test Engineer will support the production / developing testing of cdma2000 radio access network systems and products based on the 1xRTT and EV-DO air interface standards. The successful candidate will execute test plans and procedures for RF testing and system level functional testing of 1xRTT and EV-DO base station products and core network components. He/She will also maintain cdma2000 related test tools and supporting software programs. The successful candidate should be effective at working independently and as part of a cross functional team.


Responsibilities:

Implement system test procedures for IP-RAN products

Execute production testing of CDMA IP-RAN products

Analysis of test results, including implementation defect identification

Execute cdma2000 minimum RF performance test with RF test equipment (VSA/SA/SG/etc)

Validate digital and RF prototypes for compliance to cdma2000 standards

Maintenance of cdma2000 test tools

Interaction with hardware and software design engineering teams


Skills & Qualifications:

Experience with cdma2000 radio access network systems

Knowledge of cdma2000 standards, including 1xRTT and EV-DO

Experience using cdma2000 test tools, including DM and QXDM-Pro

Experience with RF test environments and instrumentation/measurement

Knowledge of system testing methodologies

Good communication and documentation skills

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

BS in electrical engineering or equivalent experience in a test environment

3-5 years relevant experience
