Geoscientist Staff – Dallas

Baker Atlas offers a complete range of downhole well logging services including advanced formation evaluation, production and reservoir engineering, petrophysical and geophysical data acquisition services. Baker Atlas services and information allow oil and gas companies to define, reduce and manage risk with advanced well logging and completion services for the exploration and production industry. The diverse range of services applies throughout the reservoir life cycle in support of the drilling process, during prospect evaluation and appraisal, to production and reservoir management.

Over the past five years Baker Atlas has substantially grown the business of borehole imaging. Today Baker Atlas is considered to be at the forefront of developments in formation imaging technology and analysis in the Continental US and US offshore. The crucial element that enables the application of this leading edge technology is the skillful geologic interpretation of formation image data meeting highest professional standards.

Responsibilities:

Strong background in structural geology and/or sedimentology with a sound basis in petrophysics.

General knowledge of the oil and gas exploration and production industry.

Familiarity with the geology of Barnette Shale would be beneficial.

Experience in some of the following areas would be beneficial: fracture analysis, core description, core analysis, borehole geomechanics, and structural modeling.

Good computer literacy and readiness for multidisciplinary training is essential.

Skill Requirements:

Education/Experience:
