The Women’s Museum: An Institute for the Future is once again preparing for the State Fair of Texas! During the State Fair, September 28 – October 21, The Women’s Museum will be open to the public, and we expect thousands of people to visit. Museum hours will be EVERY DAY from 10am to 7pm. There will be two shifts each day. Both shifts will require a minimum of 20-25 volunteers. Volunteers will be needed throughout the building, including the front desk, the Museum Store, in the first and second floor exhibits and on the third floor for the special exhibit Star-Struck: Hollywood Costumes and Designers from 1932-2006. In addition to the above mentioned areas, there will be several new volunteer placements for the Girls’ State Fair activities! Volunteers are vital to the daily operations of The Women’s Museum.
