ASSISTANT PRODUCTION MANAGER

Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture & shipment of products
- Draws up master schedule to meet shipping dates according
to sales forecasts or customer orders.
- Prepares purchase orders to obtain fabrics, trims, etc for domestic and offshore production
- Working with Director of Operations negotiates purchasing
contracts
- Issue all cutting tickets for domestic and offshore production
- Maintain and update calendar for all overseas contractors
- Enter all bill of materials, lots domestic/international into AS400 system
- Works with Shipping and Receiving to ensure shipments
correct.
- Contracts with carriers to ship product to customers

In addition this position also assists with administrative tasks associated with Production

Requirements

Experience with planning and manufacturing environments. Must have knowledge of fabrics. Must have good computer skills.
