ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER – Dallas

Our Dallas office is seeking a Architectural Designer who will be responsible for the design, programming and aesthetic solution for large and/or complex Healthcare, Science & Technology or Civic/Justice-related projects. Meets directly with client, analyzes clients problems and conceives and develops architectural solutions commensurate with the needs. Initiates and creates schematic designs and plans with responsibility for the preparation of presentation drawings, models and narratives. Represents the firm, participating as a key member of business development teams, in presentations to prospective clients. Works with the various engineering disciplines throughout the schematic and design development phases to ensure that the solution accommodates the engineering needs and the owners program. Requires a bachelors or masters degree in architecture, minimum 5 years of project design experience, varied experience in engineering concepts and maintains a professional registration. May direct the activities of other design professionals.


Requirements BS/MS Degree in Architecture. 5+ years Healthcare, Science & Technology, Civic/Justice design experience. Registered Architect. Broad knowledge of mechanical, electrical and structural requirements. Self starter. Computer literate with MS Office. Knowledge of building/design codes. Knowledge of current trends. Experience with large projects. Experience with institutional/government organizations. Must have craftsmanship attitude toward detailing. Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required.
